Our Legacy: Soaring Since 1997
Founded on December 7, 1997, the Nigerian Women Eagles Club was established as a sanctuary for Nigerian women navigating life in the Tri-State area. For nearly three decades, we have served as a bridge between our vibrant roots and our American journey, evolving into a premier non-profit dedicated to cultural preservation and spiritual upliftment.
Our name reflects our identity as women of strength, vision, and grace. To an NWEC member, the eagle carries a dual significance:

  • In Nigeria: The eagle stands as an enduring symbol of majesty and national strength, reflecting the rich cultural heritage that defines our proud, historic nation.


  • In the United States: Our eagle represents the immense freedom and boundless opportunity offered by this great land we are now privileged to call home.

    • Our Spiritual Foundation:
    Above all, we are guided by Isaiah 40:31: "But those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles." For us, the eagle represents our total dependence on the Lord and our future eternal hope.

  • Excellence in Womanhood: We pattern our lives after the Proverbs 31 woman, striving to be pillars of strength who make our husbands, children, and community proud.

    NWEC is more than a club; it is a movement of Nigerian women (by birth or marriage) who believe that we soar higher when we fly together. Based in the Tri-State area, we invite you to discover a community where your heritage is celebrated and your potential is limitless.
